Crestwood Manor, a Springpoint Life Plan Community, recently received the ICAA NuStep Beacon Award and is considered among the top 25 “Best in Wellness” senior living communities in North America for 2024. The official announcement of winners took place in November during the ICAA Conference and Expo in Raleigh, N.C. The community was presented with the Beacon Award trophy during a well-attended ceremony in the New Year.

Designed to showcase organizations that embrace wellness as a foundational way of life, the ICAA NuStep Beacon Award recognizes Crestwood Manor’s exceptional commitment to fostering a vibrant, inclusive wellness culture that enriches the lives of older adults. The award was first introduced in 2019 and honors the top 25 senior living communities pioneering the most effective strategies, staffing, environments, programs, and philosophies in nurturing a culture of wellness.

“We are proud to recognize the exceptional commitment of communities and leaders dedicated to making wellness a cornerstone of life for older adults,” said Jane Benskey, NuStep’s Marketing Communications Specialist. “The 2024 ICAA NuStep Beacon Awards celebrate not only the innovation but also the leadership and passion that drive meaningful change.”

The Beacon Award’s focus on emotional, physical, intellectual, social, spiritual, vocational, and environmental health is reflected in Springpoint’s award-winning LivWell program.

Recognized for innovation by LeadingAge New Jersey, Springpoint’s LivWell philosophy is “to provide the opportunity to engage in experiences that support a high quality of life, personal choice, lifelong development, and an optimal sense of well-being.” The dedicated staff at Crestwood Manor undergoes specialized training and works hand-in-hand with residents to develop programming that fits their individual needs while promoting a sense of community and inclusivity. Stacey Judge, Springpoint’s Community Wellness Program Director, presented the Beacon Award to members of the Crestwood community in January. Springpoint’s COO David Woodward and Crestwood Manor’s Executive Director Anne Hay were also in attendance. Judge praised Crestwood’s LivWell team, recognizing Program Manager Jodee Garrity, for developing and promoting programs that are creative, inclusive, and interactive. Judge spoke about the expansion of offerings in 2025, much to the pleasure of the large crowd of residents who gathered during the event.

Judge also attended the ICAA conference, where she and Springpoint CEO Anthony Argondizza led a keynote presentation focused on the development and implementation of wellness programming within senior living communities. Kristen Andree, the Fitness and Wellness Manager from Meadow Lakes (another Springpoint Life Plan Community), also took the stage alongside Judge to lead a seminar entitled “Exercise is V.I.T.A.L! Variable interval training for ageless longevity.”

These sessions were well attended by leaders throughout the industry and exemplify Springpoint’s commitment to offering exceptional services and innovative programs so that residents and team members can experience the best that life has to offer.
